Our year 1 children have been observing the weather and the seasons in Science. They have been into the playground to see how changeable the weather can be in spring. Then they worked scientifically to read a scale and know that the temperature is. Working in groups they took the temperature of different cups of water. They predicted which they thought was going to be the hottest and coolest. They left the thermometer in the cups for one minute, read the scale and then recorded their findings in a table.
