Sinai Jewish Primary School has received the highest grading under Ofsted’s new framework.

The new framework saw the school graded in the following areas:

  • The quality of education
  • Behaviour and attitudes
  • Personal development
  • Leadership and management
  • Early Years Provision (Nursery & Reception)

Sinai was awarded OUTSTANDING across the board, in all areas. Remarkably, the school was also told there were no areas for development.

Speaking of the success, Juliette Lipshaw, Headteacher, says: “An outstanding school does not happen overnight. It is years of hard work, commitment, energy, drive, ambition and passion that come together in a relentless pursuit to be the biggest and best Jewish primary school in Europe.”

The Ofsted report described the school as ‘nurturing’ which is something she is extremely proud of. ‘We are a big school, with a big heart,’ she continues, ‘We look after the whole child and know our children individually.’

Within the report the inspectors noted:

  • “Pupils grow and thrive at this nurturing caring school”
  • “Pupils rise to the school’s highest expectations”
  • “Pupils show their love of learning. They flourish and achieve extremely well academically, personally and socially.”
  • “The working relationships between staff and pupils are warm and caring.”
  • “The school has successfully developed a highly ambitious curriculum.”
  • “Teachers deliver the curriculum with great skill and expertise.”

The one quote that particularly stands out pertains pupils' attendance being high. The inspectors noted, “This is because they want to be in school every day.”

A true marker of success considering the school now educates 645 pupils every day.
