Today our year 6 children had the privilege of hearing from Holocaust survivor, Lydia Tischler. She was just 10 years old when Hilter invaded her home country of Czechoslovakia. She spoke of the multiple concentration camps she endured, what jobs she was forced to do and what happened to her family. She eventually settled in London and became a child psychotherapist and a pioneer for children’s mental health - before retiring. We are grateful to Lydia for sharing her story and wisdom.
